Paul and Jim

Hope For Three has been amazing. Thanks to their¬†generosity with information, financial support, and community support, my son Jim and I are making it, even flourishing, through some extremely trying times. As a single working parent of an autistic child, you can imagine my time is extremely limited, and Hope For Three has been an excellent source of information regarding caring for an autistic kiddo saving me countless hours of muddling around to find reliable information. Thanks to their financial support in defraying medical expenses, Jim receives applied behavior analysis, speech, and occupational therapies. Hope For Three even provided a language assistance device to help my son communicate. Hope For Three through it’s community outreach and programs like Strike Out Autism, Teen Huddle, Parents Night Out, and other events has given us a sense of hope; be it from having a day at the ball park in which I don’t need to apologize for one of Jim’s faux pas’s and explaining his condition, or working with energetic youths that volunteer to help with autistic kids and disease awareness, or bringing in a widely successful autistic role model like Temple Grandin, or just getting a few hours of understanding expert childcare in the evening in order to briefly leave the special needs father role. Summing up the impact Darla and the rest of the Hope For Three family has had on our lives is impossible.- Paul P.
