Shane’s Story

Shane’s Story

After much research as to what may be beneficial in helping Shane to become verbal and independent,  ABA was the therapy that would be most effective for him. We contacted Medicaid and our private insurance to inquire about providing the services we discovered that Medicaid would not provide the services and our private insurance may or may not refund us for the services we could not pay for. Hope for Three was referred to us as an organization that was providing the financial assistance needed to provide services for our son. Almost immediately after providing the application Shane started to receive ABA therapy.  The therapy has been very effective. Shane started with 3-5 words and unable to follow instructions given (prompts). One year later he is following through with prompts,  following two-three steps request, speaking many words, independently dressing himself, reading, writing, just to name few.

This progress is due to the financial assistance provided by Hope for Three. My hope is that soon our insurance providers will realize that ABA services play a major role in assisting our “Ausome” kiddos. – Wilma S.
