Leo is my 3rd baby out of 4 and has always been my firecracker. He is an absolute sweetheart and loves to give tight hugs and to be outside. He enjoys playing with his siblings (2 older brothers and 1 little sister). He is almost 6 years old and he is just about complete kindergarten! It has been quite a journey from birth, he was my only baby who twisted and turned came into this world via emergency c-section. He was such a quiet baby in the beginning as well. At about a year old, we started to see a regression in his development and speech. He wasn’t imitating or making eye contact, it was so strange and made my husband and I nervous. So after some evaluations and lots of therapy, he slowly progressed in his motor skills and speech. We all worked really hard getting him the help he needed and at 3 years he was diagnosed with autism. We moved from Cali to Texas and it seemed to be the best change for him. He was enrolled in the Early Childhood Special Education(ECSE) program at school and was in school since he was 3. All of the work and help of the amazing teachers, therapists, and aides have ensured Leo has progressed and is speaking so much now. He is such a delight when he tells the best stories and we are all so proud of him. Leo has taught us so much and we will continue to learn and love better than we ever could before with him in our lives.
